Riley County came tearing into Tuesday's contest with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wabaunsee Chargers, sneaking past 22-20. The 22-point effort marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring matchup of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Riley County pushed their record up to 13-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Wabaunsee, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Riley County will host Nemaha Central on Friday. As for Wabaunsee, they will challenge Solomon on February 18th.
