Baseball Game Preview: Cedarcrest Red Wolves vs. Sultan Turks

Cedarcrest has gone a perfect 10-0 against Sultan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Red Wolves will venture away from home to take on the Turks at 4:00 p.m. Cedarcrest is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Cedarcrest came out on top against Renton on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Red Wolves were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Redhawks. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by ten runs or more this season.

Carter Smith was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Cedarcrest: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-2 otherwise. Bryson Davidson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Cedarcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Renton only posted an OBP of .348.

Meanwhile, Sultan suffered their closest loss since April 17, 2025 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cascade by a score of 9-7.

Cedarcrest's win bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Sultan, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Everything went Cedarcrest's way against Sultan in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Cedarcrest made off with a 9-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Red Wolves since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
