Basketball Recap: Lazbuddie Takes a Loss

After soaring to 60 points the game before, Lazbuddie was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They were beaten by the Nazareth Swifts 66-19. The Longhorns have struggled against the Swifts recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Brynlie Cleavinger was Lazbuddie's leading scorer, having posted six points. Cleavinger also led the team in rebounds with 12. Jacqueline Nunez took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Lazbuddie's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Nazareth, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 15-7.

Lazbuddie will head out to face off against Happy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Happy's defense has only allowed 28 points per game this season, so Lazbuddie's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Nazareth, they will challenge Hart at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Hart has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
