Basketball Recap: Pecos Comes Up Short

Pecos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a 50-31 bruising from the Andrews Mustangs. The Eagles were probably out for revenge after losing 72-42 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Andrews, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-12.

Pecos and Andrews could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Pecos will take on Fort Stockton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday down 916 places (1465 vs. 549). Meanwhile, Andrews (ranked 741st) will meet Seminole (ranked 301st) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
