Basketball Recap: Alexandria City Comes Up Short

Alexandria City lost against West Potomac on February 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Alexandria City Titans took a blow against the West Potomac Wolverines, falling 66-34. The Titans were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 47-18.

West Potomac got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jill Humphreys out in front who posted 15 points. That's the most points Humphreys has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Beddis, who scored 14 points.

Alexandria City's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 8-16. As for West Potomac, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Alexandria City does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Potomac, they will face off against South County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. South County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something West Potomac surely won't give up without a fight.
