Basketball Recap: BASIS Flagstaff Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact BASIS Flagstaff can now relate to. The game between them and the Hayden Lobos didn't end well, with the BASIS Flagstaff Yetis falling 70-54. The Yetis have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the defeat, BASIS Flagstaff saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Alexei Barrow went 7-for-10 en route to 19 points and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Barrow. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Quiroz, who posted 13 points and six rebounds.

BASIS Flagstaff's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Hayden, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.

BASIS Flagstaff does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hayden, they have already played their next contest, a 52-45 defeat against Cicero Prep Academy on the 18th.
