Basketball Recap: Woodridge Takes a Loss

Woodridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 38-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cloverleaf Colts. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 529th, while the Colts are ranked 246th).

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cloverleaf to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emma Hibler, who posted eight points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kinsey Bayer, who went 5 for 8 on her way to 11 points along with five boards and three steals.

Woodridge's record is now 5-16. As for Cloverleaf, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Woodridge has already played their next match (against Springfield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cloverleaf is taking a road trip to face off against Streetsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Streetsboro will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Cloverleaf surely won't give up without a fight.
