Softball Recap: Tippecanoe Valley Has No Trouble Against Jimtown

While Tippecanoe Valley put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Jimtown. The Vikings blew past the Jimmies 10-0. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Vikings considering their two-run performance the match before.

Mackaylie Costello was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Kahlyn Manns, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Tippecanoe Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jimtown only posted a batting average of .062.

Tippecanoe Valley's record now sits at 11-9. As for Jimtown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tippecanoe Valley will host Glenn at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Vikings' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Jimtown, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Angola at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
