Softball Recap: Indio Comes Up Short

Indio came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 14-7 to the Temescal Canyon Titans.

Jaeda Diaz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Diaz is crushing it when it comes to home runs: she's launched at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Clover Cordova, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3.

Indio's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Temescal Canyon, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Indio will take on Orange Vista in a tournament on Thursday. As for Temescal Canyon, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Santiago at 5:30 p.m. on March 4th. Temescal Canyon is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.
