Basketball Game Preview: Ralston Valley Mustangs vs. Broomfield Eagles

The Ralston Valley Mustangs will square off against the Broomfield Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Ralston Valley saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 55-48 victory over Rock Canyon.

Ralston Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Santana Sabus led the charge by dropping a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Sabus' evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kailey Townsend, who went 5 of 7 on her way to 14 points and five boards.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Broomfield duked it out withMountain Vista on Thursday. Broomfield strolled past Mountain Vista with points to spare, taking the game 78-62.

Broomfield's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ralston Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Ralston Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Broomfield in their previous matchup back in December of 2019, but they still walked away with a 37-33 win.
