Legacy Early College has gone a perfect 3-0 against Gray Collegiate Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will take on the War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. Legacy Early College will be strutting in after a victory while Gray Collegiate Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Legacy Early College didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Oakleaf, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lions.

Reagan Buff had another great game (as she tends to do), putting up 16 points and eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Legacy Early College's points. Another player making a difference was Mia Henry, who posted nine points and six boards.

Legacy Early College smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Gray Collegiate Academy was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 60-55 to Military Magnet Academy.

Legacy Early College will have to keep a close watch on Aneya Britt and Alexis Gartmon, a pair of players who had a big impact on Gray Collegiate Academy's prior game. Britt dropped a double-double with 24 points and 11 rebounds, while Gartmon went 8-for-15 to rack up 18 points and five boards. Gartmon continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Cailynn Kelly also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Legacy Early College's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Everything came up roses for Legacy Early College against Gray Collegiate Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 56-18 win. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the War Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
