McDowell's loss ends three-game winning streak at home

Recap: McDowell Titans vs. T.C. Roberson Rams

After a string of four wins, the McDowell Titans's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 58-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of T.C. Roberson. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McDowell has scored all season.

Several Titans players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rylan Parkins, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Elliott, who scored nine points.

Max McDowell was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points along with five rebounds and three steals for T.C. Roberson. As a matter of fact, that's the most points McDowell has scored all season. LaRon Mills was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with four steals.

McDowell's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-3. As for T.C. Roberson, they pushed their record up to 10-7 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McDowell will face off against Erwin at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for T.C. Roberson, they will head out on the road to square off against North Buncombe at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. North Buncombe and T.C. Roberson are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
