Cerritos waltzed into their match on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Ocean View Seahawks.

Jacob Hoosac looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alex Laurin, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Cerritos' record now sits at 14-11. As for Ocean View, they dropped their record down to 9-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Cerritos will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Oxford Academy at 3:15 p.m. on the 29th. As for Ocean View, they will take on Ayala at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Seahawks will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least ten runs in their last six contests.
