Baseball Recap: Tunkhannock Takes a Loss

Tunkhannock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 3-0 to the Wyoming Seminary College Prep Blue Knights.

Tunkhannock got a good showing from Paul Poepperling, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That one hit allowed gave Poepperling a new career-low.

At the plate, Tunkhannock saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Gregory, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

Tunkhannock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wyoming Seminary College Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Tunkhannock will take on rival MMI Preparatory School at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Wyoming Seminary College Prep is set to square off against their familiar foe Lake-Lehman at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
