Football Recap: Glenns Ferry Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Murtaugh + How To Watch

Glenns Ferry faced Murtaugh in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Pilots came up short against the Red Devils, falling 28-8. The Pilots' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Brayden Spriggs threw for 165 yards on 13 of 21 attempts. Henry Thomas was his top target, picking up 113 receiving yards. On the ground, Brodie Merrell rushed for 119 yards.

Murtaugh's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Stetson Perkins led the charge by rushing for 91 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, while also throwing for 117 yards and one TD on only six passes. Those 91 rushing yards gave Perkins a new career-high. A healthy portion of Perkins' aerial production (117 yards to be exact) went to Preston Stanger, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Glenns Ferry now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Murtaugh, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-6.
