On Thursday, Frassati Catholic came up short against San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool and fell 65-52. While losing is never fun, Frassati Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1383rd, while San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool is ranked 213th).
San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Sansano, who scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Micah Kidney, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Frassati Catholic has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Frassati Catholic will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutheran South Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 5th. San Antonio Patriots HomeSchool is on the road again on Friday and play against Geneva at 12:45 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Geneva has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
