Volleyball Recap: Springfield Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Springfield entered their tilt with Avon Lake on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Shoremen by a score of 2-0.

Logan Goodrick paced Springfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Goodrick got some help from Reed Schwieterman and his 14 assists. Dennis Rakosik and Jonah Sheppard kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for Avon Lake, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

Looking ahead, Springfield will be playing at home against Archbishop Hoban at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Blue Devils are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 17-game losing streak. Avon Lake does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
