Football Recap: Ashdown Takes a Loss

Ashdown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They had to suffer through a 65-6 loss at the hands of the Arkadelphia Badgers. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-6.

Special teams was responsible for all of the team's points. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Bryson French, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Ashdown's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Arkadelphia, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Ashdown will take on rival Bauxite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Arkadelphia is set to face off against their familiar foe Genoa Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
