Football Recap: Alainna Weber and Kayla Sims Lead the Defense for Rancho Win

Rancho needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight games and they got it from Reese LeBaron. The Rancho Rams came out on top against the Silverado Skyhawks by a score of 18-7 on Wednesday thanks in part to LeBaron, who rushed for 117 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Those 117 rushing yards gave her a new career-high.

Rancho didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Alainna Weber and Kayla Sims.

Rancho's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-14. As for Silverado, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Rancho will challenge Mojave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Mojave is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26.9 points per game this season. Silverado does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
