Baseball Game Preview: Lebanon Blue Devils vs. Sycamore War Eagles

The Lebanon Blue Devils are taking a road trip to square off against the Sycamore War Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lebanon will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

While Lebanon's win against LaVergne wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Devils had just enough and edged out the Wolverines 1-0 on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Sycamore didn't have quite enough to beat Greenbrier on Wednesday and fell 7-6.

Sycamore saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drake Perry, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI. Jordan Briscoe also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Lebanon's victory bumped their record up to 13-8-1. As for Sycamore, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Lebanon took their win against Sycamore in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 10-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
