Volleyball Recap: Karlee Snavely and Lydia Jarrell Secure Win for Zane Trace

Zane Trace lost to Fairfield Union back in August of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Falcons with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Pioneers.

Zane Trace never let Fairfield Union on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 25-16.

Leading Zane Trace to victory were Lydia Jarrell and Karlee Snavely. Jarrell had 18 assists and six digs, while Snavely hit 57.1% for 19 kills and 13 digs, four aces, and two blocks. Snavely has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 20 times she's played.

Zane Trace now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fairfield Union, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Looking ahead, Zane Trace will venture away from home to take on McClain at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Fairfield Union, they will host Logan Elm at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
