Volleyball Recap: Wyoming Area Takes a Loss

Wyoming Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Dallas Mountaineers, falling 3-0. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mountaineers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wyoming Area took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 26-24.

Taylor Gashi paced Wyoming Area's offense, picking up eight kills. Gashi got some help from Ava Boyle and her six assists. Kenzie Galenty controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Wyoming Area's defeat dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Dallas, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.

Wyoming Area has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Pittston on the 1st. As for Dallas, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Berwick on the 30th.
