Soccer Game Preview: Rye vs. Thomas MacLaren School

The Rye Thunderbolts will challenge the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rye's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over Pueblo Central. It was an even better day for Angelina Atencio as she scored three goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Thomas MacLaren School entered their tilt with Trinidad on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Miners 10-0. The contest marked Thomas MacLaren School's most dominant victory of the season.

Rye is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 36 goals over those six matches.
