Basketball Recap: Sault Area Takes a Loss

Sault Area lost against Pickford back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sault Area Blue Devils took a blow against the Pickford Panthers, falling 66-21. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 523rd, while the Panthers are ranked 104th).

Sault Area's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Pickford, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-1.

Sault Area has already played their next matchup (against St. Ignace), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pickford will square off against Alanson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
