Softball Recap: Maple Mountain Triumphs

Maple Mountain had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 victory over the Fremont Silverwolves on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Golden Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Kyla Donegan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Daphnee Pagano was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Fremont is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Maple Mountain will take on Boise in a tournament on Friday. As for Fremont, they will square off against Morgan at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
