Basketball Recap: Taylor's Crossing Comes Up Short

If Taylor's Crossing was feeling good fresh off their 53-20 takedown of American Heritage last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Taylor's Crossing Eagles came up short against the Challis Vikings on Tuesday, falling 42-16. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Taylor's Crossing lost, don't look at Reagan Smith. Despite the final result, she went 5 for 9 en route to 11 points and three steals. Smith has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Ellis, who posted three points in addition to seven boards and three blocks.

Taylor's Crossing now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Challis, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5.

As of now, neither Taylor's Crossing nor Challis have any future games scheduled.
