Volleyball Recap: Nitro Gets the Win

Nitro posted their closest victory since August 26th on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Chapmanville Regional Tigers 2-1. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Nitro got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 20-25, 15-12.

Rachel Tucker had an outrageously good game as she had six kills, six aces, and three digs. That's the most digs she has posted over her last three matches. Another player making a difference was Sarah Shaver, who had five aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Nitro was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. They are a perfect 6-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Nitro's record is now 10-8. As for Chapmanville Regional, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Looking ahead, Nitro will be playing in front of their home fans against Sherman at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chapmanville Regional has already played their next contest (against Riverside), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
