Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hemlock). They put the hurt on the Vassar Vulcans with a sharp 65-41 win on Friday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Huskies' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while the Vulcans are ranked 76th).

Hemlock's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 5-3. As for Vassar, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-2.

Hemlock will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Ithaca at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. Vassar will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Reese at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
