Baseball Recap: Lovelady Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Lovelady faced off against Centerville on Tuesday. The Lions fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 6-5. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Lovelady saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lane Wilson, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Lovelady's defeat dropped their record down to 12-10-1. As for Centerville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2-1 record this season.

Lovelady didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 13-3 win against Grapeland on the 11th. As for Centerville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 13-1 victory against Leon on the 11th.
