After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nation Ford, Fort Mill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the York Cougars 9-8. This was a revenge game for the Yellow Jackets: when they faced off against the Cougars two weeks ago, they had to take a 7-1 loss.

Haley Rogers was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in May of 2025.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooke Rosario, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Fort Mill's record is now 4-6. As for York, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Fort Mill will head out on the road to challenge Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for York, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 12-2 defeat against Nation Ford on the 19th.
