The Cony Rams are taking a road trip to face off against the Messalonskee Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cony will be strutting in after a victory while Messalonskee will be coming in after a defeat.

While Messalonskee had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 14 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 21-25, 25-21, 25-14.
Despite the loss, Messalonskee got top-tier performance from Sofia Derosby, who had 30 digs. Derosby is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 29 or more in the last three games she's played dating back to last season.
Even though they lost, Messalonskee kept the net locked down and finished the game with 19 blocks. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now had at least eight blocks in 19 consecutive contests dating back to last season.
Cony's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Messalonskee, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
