Basketball Recap: Grandview Piles Up the Points Against Winnetonka

Grandview won the last time they faced Winnetonka and things went their way on Thursday too. The Grandview Bulldogs claimed a resounding 73-12 victory over the Winnetonka Griffins. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grandview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lariah Tucker, who went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals. The dominant performance gave Tucker a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Smith, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 20 points along with six boards and three steals.

Tucker wasn't the only one working in the assists department: Grandview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Grandview's record now sits at 8-6. As for Winnetonka, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Grandview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-16 win against Chrisman on the 27th. As for Winnetonka, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 57-17 defeat against Chillicothe on the 27th.
