Baseball Recap: Lemoore Finds Home Field Redemption Against Hanford

There's no place like home for Lemoore, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They walked away with an 8-4 victory over the Hanford Bullpups on Monday. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Bullpups back in April, they had to take a 7-5 defeat.

Ian Snell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out nine over six innings pitched. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, Ben Johnson was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tyson Kinter, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Lemoore was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hanford only posted a batting average of .115.

Lemoore's record now sits at 14-12. As for Hanford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-14.

As of now, neither Lemoore nor the Bullpups have any future games scheduled.
