A Season-Best Effort from Elijah Thomas Leads Checotah over Muldrow
Elijah Thomas produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Checotah to the win on Friday. Thomas' receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 117 receiving yards dating back to last season. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making seven total tackles (3.0 for loss) and defending a pass in addition to snagging two interceptions.
If history really does repeat itself, Thomas might just drop another big game when he faces off against Stigler on Friday. When Thomas last faced the Panthers back in November of 2023, he picked up 159 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.

Peter Lee Has Career Rushing Day
On Friday, Eufaula had to settle for second even though Peter Lee put up the best numbers he has all season. Lee rushed for 361 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Eufaula is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. Lee and Eufaula will host Holland Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Titan Hix Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Titan Hix continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his fifth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least two rushing touchdowns. He rushed for 108 yards and six touchdowns, and also threw for 426 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt. The performance once again pushed his average passing yardage north of 300 yards per game (307.4).
On the season, Hix has thrown 15 touchdowns (and and only 3 picks) while averaging 307.4 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after five games last season, he had eight rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to 17.

Jackson Mccarter posted a new career-high in rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns, and also caught a touchdown.
For the year, Mccarter has averaged 126.8 passing yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after four games last season, he had two rushing touchdowns. This year he is already up to four.

Big Game from Messer As Locust Grove Won 59-41
The second Locust Grove player making an appearance here is Zander Messer, and for good reason. He picked up 294 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
