            Georgetown had won seven straight on the road dating back to last season, but  on Friday they bumped up to 6-1 to make it eight. They put the hurt on the East View Patriots with a sharp  31-8 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Eagles' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Patriots are ranked 277th).

 Jett Walker produced another solid  effort rushing for 202 yards and three  touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. That's the most  rushing yards  he has posted since back in November of 2024.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Georgetown was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 239  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 209  rushing yards in four consecutive  contests.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Georgetown's defense and their three sacks.  Tennison Dean was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. Another thorn in East View's side was  Reagan Bollinger, who picked up  a  sack and made ten total tackles.
As for East View, they moved to 5-2 with that  loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Having soared to a lofty 42  points in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.
 Despite the loss, East View still got an impressive performance from   Jayvion Clater, who rushed for 121 yards, and also picked up 32 receiving yards.
 Looking ahead, Georgetown will take on Glenn at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.57  points per  game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for East View, they will venture away from home to  take on Chaparral  at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Patriots will be up against the Bobcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.29  points per  matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
