Football Recap: Alpha Omega Academy Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Alpha Omega Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 101-56 win over the Covenant Classical Cavaliers. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Alpha Omega Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Case Collum, who threw for 615 yards and 12 touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. With that strong performance, Collum is now averaging an impressive 305.2 passing yards per game. Alpha Omega Academy's leading receiver Hudson Ramey was Collum's top target yet again, picking up 373 receiving yards and six scores.

When it comes to explaining why Covenant Classical lost on Thursday, don't look at Hudson Williams. Despite the final result, he picked up 117 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. An impressive showing, but Williams really ramped things up playing D: he forced one fumble and made 15 total tackles.

The victory (which was Alpha Omega Academy's tenth in a row) raised their record to 11-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points over those games. As for Covenant Classical, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-4 record.

As of now, neither Alpha Omega Academy nor the Cavaliers have any future games scheduled.
