Basketball Recap: Therrell Wins Going Away Against KIPP Atlanta Collegiate

There's no place like home for Therrell, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the KIPP Atlanta Collegiate Warriors on Friday as the Therrell Panthers made off with a 61-36 win. The contest marked the Panthers' most dominant victory of the season.

Azil Hazzard was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 15 boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Hamilton, who posted six points and 13 rebounds.

The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points per game. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-8 record this season.

Therrell will square off against Hapeville Charter at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for KIPP Atlanta Collegiate, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 96-68 win against Washington on the 25th.
