Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Takes a Loss

Mount Pisgah Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to the Gatewood Gators on the road by a 77-62 margin. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 499th, while the Gators are ranked 189th).

Mount Pisgah Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Gatewood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.

Mount Pisgah Christian won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Westminster Christian Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gatewood, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Athens Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Gatewood's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
