Harlan is 8-1 against Taft since December of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Harlan Hawks will be playing at home against the Taft Raiders at 6:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Harlan has three straight wins, Taft has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Harlan duked it out withStevens on Saturday. Harlan put the hurt on Stevens with a sharp 66-42 victory. The Hawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Taft was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Saturday as they fell 50-46 to Sotomayor. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 753rd, while the WILDCATS are ranked 214th).

Harlan has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.8 points per game. As for Taft, their loss dropped their record down to 6-23.
