Soccer Game Preview: Holy Family vs. Mead

The Holy Family Tigers will take on the Mead Mavericks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Holy Family managed to keep up with Prospect Ridge Academy until halftime on Saturday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Tigers came up short against the Miners, falling 3-0. While losing is never fun, Holy Family can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado soccer rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while Prospect Ridge Academy are ranked sixth).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mead). They put the hurt on Northridge with a sharp 12-2 victory on Saturday. It was an even better day for Madelyn Wright as she scored three goals for her team.

Mead has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Holy Family, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
