SCISA 1A Region II Top Player Performances of the Week

Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!

Mikell Tucker Mathis' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Patrick Henry Academy over Colleton Prep Academy

Starting off the list is Patrick Henry Academy's Mikell Tucker Mathis, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Mathis rushed for 128 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 passes. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in August.

Patrick Henry Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season. Mathis and Patrick Henry Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Orangeburg Prep at 7:30 p.m. on October 25th.
