Volleyball Recap: Johansen Takes a Loss

Johansen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Central Valley Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Johansen actually scored more points across those five sets (96-93), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 9-25, 25-21, 25-16, 15-9.

Johansen's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Central Valley, they moved to 3-12 with that victory, which also ended their five-match losing streak.

Johansen has already played their next contest (against Livingston), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Central Valley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Lathrop on the 24th.
