Oglethorpe County came tearing into Tuesday's contest with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Oglethorpe County easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-12.

Oglethorpe County's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Monroe Area, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Oglethorpe County will face off against Dacula at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Monroe Area, they will take on Loganville in a tournament on Saturday.
