Basketball Recap: Beaver Island Comes Up Short

After flying high against Mackinac Island on Saturday, Beaver Island came back down to earth. The Beaver Island Islanders were beaten by the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears 94-44 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Islanders in their matchups with the Black Bears: they've now lost six in a row.

Beaver Island's defeat dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Big Bay de Noc, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-2.

Beaver Island does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Big Bay de Noc, they will be playing at home against Engadine at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
