Lamar had already won seven in a row and they went ahead and made it eight on Saturday. They came out on top against the Limon Badgers by a score of 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Thunder, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-19, 19-25, 25-19.

Lisette Frias paced Lamar's offense, picking up 11 kills. Frias got some help from Abygail Gonzales and her 36 assists. Frias was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

When it comes to explaining why Limon lost, don't look at Chloe Stone. Despite the final result, she had 17 digs and two aces. Stone is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Lamar's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Limon, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Coincidentally, Lamar and Limon will both be playing Vail Christian the next time they take the court. The Badgers will head out to face the Saints at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Thunder will play them later in the day, at 11:30 a.m.
