Mineral Point came tearing into Thursday's contest with six straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Riverdale Chieftains. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Pointers also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

Mineral Point's got stronger as the match went on, holding Riverdale to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-17, 25-14.

Leading Mineral Point to victory were Ava Ingwell and Sophie Miller. Ingwell had 15 digs and two aces, while Miller had 20 assists and six digs. That's the most digs Ingwell has posted over her last eight matchups.

Mineral Point's record is now 34-4. As for Riverdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-19 record this season.
