Ceres is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Grace Davis on Wednesday as Ceres made off with an 18-3 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won five matchups by more than eight runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Alizae Cole was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Cole was even better at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in February.

In other batting news, Ceres let Ava Montesdeoca and Gabriela Ortiz run wild. Montesdeoca fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-5, while Ortiz scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave Ortiz a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kylie Bond, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Central Valley suffered their closest loss since February 29, 2024 on Friday. They fell just short of Lathrop by a score of 9-7.
Destiny Herrera was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Abigail Krauss was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Ceres now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Central Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season.
Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ceres hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .358.
