Baseball Recap: Slinger Comes Up Short

Slinger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 7-3 to the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings. The Owls were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Grady Chvosta was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Payton Tennies was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run.

Slinger's record is now 7-5. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Coming up, Slinger will take on Nicolet at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they will face off against Marquette University at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
