Baseball Game Preview: Vinemont Eagles vs. Locust Fork Hornets

The Vinemont Eagles will face off against the Locust Fork Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Vinemont will be strutting in after a victory while Locust Fork will be coming in after a loss.

Vinemont gave up the first runs last Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against West Morgan by a score of 7-3. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Owen McKinney and Kayden Henderson did most of the damage at the plate: McKinney scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Henderson went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and three RBI. That's the most stolen bases Henderson has posted since back in February.

Meanwhile, Locust Fork was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against Dora, falling 12-2.

Vinemont's victory bumped their record up to 21-7. As for Locust Fork, their loss dropped their record down to 4-11.

Vinemont took their win against Locust Fork in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 21-4. Does Vinemont have another victory up their sleeve, or will Locust Fork turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
