Mishawaka Marian is a perfect 6-0 against South Bend Riley since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Knights are taking a road trip to challenge the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mishawaka Marian and three for South Bend Riley.

Mishawaka Marian is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Elkhart on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights took a blow against the Lions, falling 59-14. The Knights were already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.

Meanwhile, South Bend Riley didn't have quite enough to beat South Bend Adams on Friday and fell 10-8.

South Bend Riley's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Mishawaka Marian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

Mishawaka Marian strolled past South Bend Riley when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 21-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
